About Founder
The Visionary Behind Our Hues
Our founder Shri. J. J. Oswal is a man of compassion and courage. Rooting from Pune, Maharashtra, he has always been a scholar throughout his academic career. After being awarded Gold Medals while pursuing a B.Sc Degree from Wadia College, Pune University in 1971, Mr. Oswal joined Bombay University for a B.Sc (Tech) in Paints, Pigment & Varnishes. There he was awarded N. R. Kamat Gold Medal for maintaining first position throughout the course.
During his time in Sigma Paints and Asian Paints (1974-76) Mr. Oswal established a detailed understating of the field while experiencing the ground reality of the respective industry. With the thorough knowledge he possessed, Mr. Oswal placed the founding stone of Kankoo Paints & Varnish Company in 1976 in Pune and further expanded in 1992 with a Modern Paint Factory in Khed Shivapur on Bangalore Highway.
Under the guidance of Mr. Oswal, the company has evolved tremendously and today specializes in manufacturing paints for Defense Organizations. Mr J J Oswal is a man who strongly believes in giving back to the community with the best in one’s capacity. As an active member of the Rotary Club, Pune, Mr. Oswal has paved a greater way for his philanthropy.
